Learning Style
Different Kids Learn Differently
Have you ever noticed that sometimes when a teacher explains things, some kids get it and some don't? How is possible that some students are able to grasp concepts and others can't. The reason why…"Learning Styles". There is decades of research demonstrating how different people learn. This research has proven that some students are more suited to the school systems style of teaching than others. Since school system teachers teach in only one single way, and students learn if different ways it's obvious many students aren't going to be reached. Has your child ever been confused about a concept the teacher explained in class? Has your child ever struggled to grasp an Idea? Has your child ever felt lost with a specific maths topic or confused regarding the application of theory. Research shows that approximately 78% of students in any classroom are not being reached by the teacher. Some students feel may dim or perhaps lost, simply because their learning style isn't being matched by the schools teaching style. Does your child have a friend in their class, that's sits next to your child and seems to understand the teacher better than anybody else. Yet the teacher is speaking to everybody in the classroom. Do you remember when you were at school, did you ever have an experience when the teacher explained things on the board, often you may not have understood, so you may have asked your friend sitting next to you, and they would always explain things in such a simple way that you would get it immediately. Clearly Learning styles have a significant impact on the students ability to feel smart, confident, and intelligent. Quite simply students need to be addressed in a way that suits their style. Here at Learning Edge we see dramatic improvements in understanding, meaning, focus and memory once we address your child in their preferred mode of learning. We present subject content and information in a way that students like to be addressed, in a way they like to learn and like to process. Some students prefer to see (visual style) others prefer to hear (auditory style) and others prefer to feel (kinaesthetic style). So we present information in all styles and modalities by presenting through pictures, explanation and sounds with feelings and physical activities to heighten the learning. Clearly, all students are able to gain complete comprehension and unrivalled understanding. All Style™ is exclusive to Learning Edge and it's a system of teaching that ensures all students "get it" all the time.
